Medical MarijuanaIn July 2014, Governor Cuomo and the New York State Legislature enacted the Compassionate Care Act which made medical marijuana available for certified patients with serious conditions and is dispensed and administered in a manner that is intended to protect public health and safety. There have been recent changes to the regulations related to adding covered conditions and clarifying handling of marijuana when patients are admitted to acute care facilities.
