What is The New York State Council of Health-system Pharmacists?

NYSCHP is the state’s premier provider of information, training, and legislative representation for New York State’s health-system pharmacists.

Approximately 2000 members including health system pharmacists faculty and students are members of The New York State Council of Health-system Pharmacists (NYSCHP).  NYSCHP is your representation regarding constantly changing legislative and regulatory issues on both the state and national government level, and provides members the opportunity to join grass-roots movements for your voice to be heard in those arenas.  The Council offers Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) continuing education courses to fulfill your career requirements, and is the premier provider of state-wide conferences, training programs, and meetings throughout the year for health-system pharmacists to network and learn. As a member you receive discounted fees for all these NYSCHP sponsored meetings and educational courses.

We welcome your interest and participation in The Council and look forward to seeing you at one of our many events.

NYSCHP Annual Assembly 2020 Canceled

NYSCHP has been closely monitoring updates and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as state and local governments. We have also been actively following travel advisories and restrictions being placed on health care providers, and hospitals, and institutions in New York and nationally. The Board of Directors has determined that it is not responsible or practical to hold the Annual Assembly.

We share the concern about the coronavirus and the questions this challenge presents. The health, safety and well-being of our members, staff, exhibitors, faculty, residents, students, technicians and other stakeholders is of paramount importance.  We want to make it very clear that we have made the decision to cancel the Annual Assembly based purely on the facts as we know them today and our responsibility and concern for all of our members and event participants.

Please refer to the FAQ document posted on the website for further information and clarification.

The office at CHMS is working diligently to accommodate everyone’s needs and is dedicated to providing our members with the service they need. During this time, please reach out to your Chapter leadership, NYSCHP Board of Director Liaisons, or Shaun Flynn at [email protected]  for general questions.

For specific concerns directly related to Annual Assembly registration reimbursement only, please contact Rebecca Harrington at the NYSCHP office at [email protected]

On behalf of the NYSCHP Board of Directors, we thank you for your continued support and understanding during this time.

Sincerely,

Lisa Voigt, Pharm.D, BCPS, BCCCP
President, NYSCHP
